Department of Civil Engineering has signed a MOU with M/s A.K Construction Manufacturers Pvt Ltd on May 03, 2024 for the duration of 2 years for working together with mutual cooperation by dissemination of respective expertise & jointly working on providing services related to transportation engineering with key focus area on Road Engineering & Road Safety.
Department of Civil Engineering has signed a MOU withNational Highways Authority of India (NHAI) PIU-Chandigarh, PIU-Ludhiana & PIU-Ambala in 2020 for the duration of 5 years to adopt nearby stretches of National Highways to provide opportunity to the students for learning, internships and create a sense of contribution in building local infrastructure. The primary scope of this MOU includes:
NHAI shall facilitate the faculty, researchers and students of the Institute to familiarize with the latest trends in the highway/transportation sector with a common objective of sharing the knowledge in their respective domain.
NHAI shall offer internships to 20 number of undergraduate and 20 number of postgraduate students of the Institute and also extend stipend.
NHAI shall pay stipend @ Rs 8000/- per month for UG students and Rs 15000/- per month for PG students for two months only.
Department of Civil Engineering has signed a MOU with IIT Bombay on 25th August 2022 for the duration of 2 years. IITB has undertaken a project on ‘Development of teaching resource material for undergraduate courses in Engineering for technical education funded by National Disaster Management Authority, Government of India’. As a part of project, IITB has selected Thapar Institute to carry out pilot offering of the developed resource materials through one full semester course for the selected subjects.
