Dr. Himanshu Chawla is working with Civil Engineering Department, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala since January 2018. He has completed his M.E. and PhD degree in Structural Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani). His area of research includes structural behaviour of FRP-concrete hybrid beams, modelling of structures in FEM software (ABAQUS), use of waste materials in concrete and FRP laminates, and FRP bridges. He has guided more than 10 master’s students and guiding four Ph.D. students.
