Biography

Naveen Kwatra is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. He was appointed in July 2000 after completing his doctorate at the Indian Institute of Roorkee, Roorkee. His areas of expertise are Wind Effect on Structures, Finite element modeling, Health monitoring on RC structures, 3D Printing of Concrete, and Artificial intelligence. To date, he has completed a number of research projects sponsored by DST, SERB, AICTE, and UGC. He has supervised 45 students of ME Structure and 17 PhD students. Naveen Kwatra has also worked as a Faculty Advisor for Civil Construction projects at the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology from 11/2006 to 11/2011. He has more than 85 publications to his credit out of which 47+ are SCI indexed. Currently, his H-index is 14, and his i10 index is 24. Naveen Kwatra has also completed many consultancy projects, including the design of RC structures and the retrofitting and rehabilitation of RC buildings. Presently he is associated with various NHAI projects and Team Leader for Consulting Services for Third Party Design, Geotechnical, Safeguards, Road Safety, and Work Zone Safety Review for the implementation of H.P. State Road Transformation Project (HPSRTP), a World Bank Project, Shimla HP.

He is also a Professional Member of the Indian Society of Earthquake Technology and the Indian Society for Construction Materials and Structures.
