Mr. Vivek Gupta is an Assistant Professor at Department of Civil Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology since March 2021. He obtained his B.Tech. in Civil Engineering in year 2012 and M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering in year 2014 from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur. He obtained his doctorate from Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Indore in June, 2021. His doctoral dissertation is on “Industrial scale waste utilisation in unfired bricks”. He has a diversified background and a trio of academia-industry-research experience in the areas of pavement and building materials, waste characterization and utilization in construction materials, and project management of construction projects. He has published several journal articles, including in the reputed SCI journals like Journal of cleaner Production, Resource, Conservation and Recycling, and Construction & Building Materials.
